Biography
Originally formed in Joliette, Quebec in the late 90’s, Illness quickly became a shooting star in Quebec’s punk scene, burning with rare intensity before disappearing into the night. Their 1998 release True Values became an underground classic and earned the band a loyal, dedicated fan base. Today, the band celebrates its long-awaited return with Resilience Road, an album that sets a new standard for the band’s future. While others tend to slow down over time, Illness has pushed the limits to create their most powerful, technical, and accomplished work yet. With a refreshed, talented lineup and decades of musical experience, this new album delivers a contagious mix of aggression and melody. While the skate punk DNA and catchy vocals remain, these new songs are also packed with undeniable metal and hardcore influences. A more mature and refined work, that will certainly please old fans and definitely conquer new ones.
Time has done its work and the result speaks for itself.
